जब लाइफ ही सिंपल नहीं,
तो खाने का स्पाइसी होना बनता है।
जब लोगों के गॉसिप बिन मसालों के अधूरी हो,
तो खाने में थोड़ा मसाला तो बनता है।
जब तानों की बारिश तीखी लगे,
तो कुछ चटपटा बनता है।
जब लोगों के अंदर गुस्सा ज्यादा हो,
तो थोड़ा ठंडा बनता है,
तो थोड़ा धुआँ निकलना बनता है।
जब आँखों की नमी कम हो,
तो थोड़ा नमकीन बनता है।
“When life isn’t simple,
Then food deserves to be spicy.
When people’s gossip is incomplete without spices,
Then food deserves a little spice.
When the rain of taunts feels sharp,
Then something tangy is deserved.
When people have too much anger inside,
Then a little coolness is deserved,
Then a little smoke needs to come out.
When the moisture in the eyes is low,
Then something salty is deserved.”
(Emphasizing the “essence” of work):
“…because only when its own ‘taste’ (quality/purpose) is maintained in the work, does it become meaningful and effective.”
(Focusing on the method of work):
“…and similarly, just as spices give completeness to food, one should use the right ‘spices’ (efforts/methods) in work for its completeness and effectiveness.”
“…and similarly, just as spices are important in food, it is essential to maintain the core element in every task of life to achieve its right outcome.”

That’s my great Baba (who left me alone in 2014) who cultivated me like this..otherwise, read news & will know how Marathi people are showing hatred to Hindi, Urdu & along with these, hatred for North Indian tehjeeb… I feel greatly sad. Thanks, Damini Ji 🙏

25 years ago each Marathi family named one girl Damini .. there was very famous Marathi serial in which the protagonist was called Damini who was a crusader…
